Purpose of the Job

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic Internal Communications Officer to support the delivery of the company’s internal communications strategy:
To drive communications processes and deliverable that promote employee engagement and positively position the business to employees
To conceptualize, produce, publish and manage content for Shoprite’s internal newspaper for almost
200 000 employees

Job Objectives

1. Communicate key messages from the business to its employees. Source and craft content that communicates the heart of the business to its employees
2. Manage the internal newspaper from concept to content to dispatch
3. Relationship building with key stakeholders
4. Measurement, evaluation and reporting

Qualifications
Matric
Degree in Communications (Editorial/Journalism) or degree/diploma in a related field
Corporate/In-house specialist or journalist experience
Project coordination experience

Experience
5+ years’ experience as a corporate/in-house specialist or journalist
3+ years’ experience in project coordination

Knowledge and Skills Knowledge:
Communications Toolkit is essential
