Purpose of the job
The Data Quality and Process Analyst is primarily responsible for partnering with business stakeholder
and project teams to provide data quality and process services, to enable data of high quality that is fit
for purpose in business operations, decision-making and planning across the Group’s value chain

Job Objectives
1. To determine and deliver suitable Data Quality solutions:
Execute data quality projects within the EDM Department to achieve data quality improvement objectives
across the Group’s value chain and/or in support of approved projects.
Exhibit Subject Matter Area data-related expertise as expected from EDM teams and business
stakeholders.
Maintain relationships within the business to enable a culture of data awareness and data quality within
the Group, through data cleansing initiatives.
Create and maintain data rules per Master Data Domain, for use by business and EDM teams.
Define and document Data Exception requirement specifications in support of the creation and
maintenance of SAP information Steward rules
2. To identify and understand Data Process requirements:
Create and maintain data flow diagrams across applications, in support of business processes and to
highlight potential gaps.
Perform data profiling for root cause analysis.
Define data migration activities for mass updates of data to application.
Create and maintain SAP functions User Guides for internal use by EDM teams.
Utilize ad-hoc SQL/SAP SQVI queries for identified data exception extracts.
3. To determine a suitable solution to address Data needs/requirements:
Identify and quantify the underlying symptoms that highlight poor data quality, to develop a practical
action plan to address those issues in a controlled and repeatable way.
Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to design and implement required solutions.
Provide input on alternatives presented by the technical designers and answer detailed questions
regarding the data design.
Engage the most appropriate business stakeholders to obtain input and agreement on alternatives that
are presented.
Stay informed of current data related trends and how they could be incorporated into the business
operations (e.g. Robotic Process Automation).

Qualification
3-year Degree in IT and Computer Sciences
Advantageous:
Data Management / Quality / Analytics Certificate
Basic SQL Certificate or Qualification

Experience
2-3 years’ experience in SAP in the retail industry
At least 3 years working knowledge of Basic SQL and/or advanced Excel

Knowledge and Skills Essential:
Up to 3 years working knowledge of SAP
Up to 3 years working knowledge of SAP ERP
Advantageous:
Up to 3 years working knowledge of Project Management Methodology
Up to 3 years working knowledge of Data Management/Quality/Analytics
