Job Summary

The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring the effective receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods. The role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing stock losses and damages, and ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Dispatch
Offload and receive raw materials and finished goods.
Verify delivery notes against physical stock received.
Load and offload trucks using a forklift.
Inspect trucks in accordance with company SOPs.
Ensure all deliveries are dispatched accurately and on time.
Identify and report damaged stock before loading or offloading.
Inventory Management
Capture Finished Goods Advice (FGA) into the financial system.
Generate delivery notes from the financial system.
Conduct daily cycle counts and monthly stock counts.
Ensure accurate stock reporting and record keeping.
Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
Warehouse Management
Wrap finished goods stock.
Check FGA slips against actual pallet quantities and quality.
Ensure the Work-in-Progress (WIP) area is neat, organised, and properly managed.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.
Minimise stock losses resulting from poor handling or storage practices.
Equipment Management
Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of forklifts.
Report equipment faults and arrange repairs when necessary.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Valid Forklift Licence.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Stock Controller or similar role.
Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or FMCG environment.
Computer literacy and experience using inventory systems.
Reliable transport.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
