Purpose of the job
The Master Data Governance Analyst’s primary objective is to develop, implement and monitor Master
Data governance policies, standards, procedures and practices. An integral component of the role
involves ensuring widespread adoption of this Master Data governance strategy across the Group.

Job Objectives
Develop and execute data governance processes for Master Data
Develop and define standards, measurements and thresholds for Master Data.
Articulate the impact of data governance standards and rules on the business
Monitor indicators of performance and ensure compliance with data related procedures, policies,
standards, roles and responsibilities.
Assess data issues relating to standards not being adhered to, including root cause analysis and business
impact and implement corrective action
Collaborate with business and stakeholder partnerships to ensure widespread adoption of the master data
governance strategy across the enterprise.
Identify data governance improvements across the Group.
Assist in implementing foundational processes and tools to support Master Data Governance Program for
the Group.

Qualifications Essential:
3-year Degree / Diploma in IT and/or Computer Sciences
FTI Business Analysis Certificate

Advantageous:
Basic SQL Certificate or Qualification

Experience:
3+ years’ experience in Governance or as Business Analyst
2 + years’ experience in Master Data

Knowledge and Skills Essential:
Up to 3 years working knowledge of Master Data best practices, policies and procedures
At least 3 years working knowledge of Basic SQL and/or advanced Excel

Advantageous:
Up to 3 years working knowledge of Retail value chain
