Retail Planner

We are looking for a Retail Demand Planner based in Johannesburg.

Purpose of the role

In an omni channel environment, you will be responsible for building the supply chain of your market group to serve the customers and contribute to the overall economic performance. To define and analyse the procurement forecasts.

Main responsibilities

• In-season performance management of stock
• Analysis of performance data and develop pre-season business plans
• Sales and Stock planning and allocation management
• Product Management (Monitor, analyse and make recommendations of product life cycles)
• Optimize the procurement conditions directly with the suppliers
• Following the orders and giving product visibility to the stores
• Contribute to the company development by taking the lead on strategic and operational requirement
• Size ratio management
• Coaching and supervising of the team
• Store support and visits on a regular basis
• Managing Ad hoc projects
• Deal with category managers and procurement specialists to understand stock needs and quantities
• Handle import duties and regulations
• Manage the time it takes to import the products from overseas
• Deal with all necessary immigration and custom requirements

Profile

The successful candidate should have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Commercial or Statistical degree or diploma
• Experience in Retail will be advantageous
• Computer Literacy (MS Office) as well as experience in planning tools
• Min 3 years retail planning experience
